Cancel your Saturday night plans because the dance party of the century is here.

Originally from London, Big Fish Little Fish is a themed clubbing/rave experience for families, providing craft and games areas as well as a fully licensed bar.

The party aims to equally involve both parents and children with a love of music and festivals, shared Gold Coast Bulletin.

Big Fish Little Fish Queensland co-ordinator, and avid family-rave-goer Stuart Mattheson said that the company was formed to create connections and community on the dance floor.

Mr Mattheson said when an opportunity came up to run Big Fish Little Fish events in Queensland he jumped at the chance.

“The experience of having my children watch their daddy DJ was just incredible,” Mr Mattheson said.

The Platinum Bar will play host to the Gold Coast launch on May 5th — and the theme is, under the sea.

Events have also been running to sold out venues since last year in Sydney and Melbourne.

Adults are not permitted entry without a child.

  • Certainly different and fun. I agree a licensed bar not required.

  • I love this idea! I’d love to take the boys to this as I miss my dancing days.
    Won’t need the bar though.

  • No need for the licensed bar in my opinion.

  • All ticks except for a licensed bar. Not needed for a children’s event, even when catering to adults too

    • I agree – not keen on the bar either.

  • One thing is for sure: music and dance is for young and old !
Wonder what music they’ll play at this night club and if all will be equally pleased.
