Blogger and mum of three goes viral after sharing honest post about her life online compared to the real world.

Kristina Kuzmic shared with her 2.2 million fans that not everything is as perfect as we think…

Sharing on her Facebook page Kristina writes, “Let’s talk about this photo of my kids and me, all smiling and happy…

“Do you know what this isn’t? Our full story. Do you know what this is? One moment. (Which included bribing the 4-year-old with candy because he did NOT want his photo taken that day.)

“Do you know what my relationship with my kids isn’t? Perfect. We don’t always get along. We’re not constantly happy. And we definitely aren’t this clean and showered on a daily basis!

“Do you know what my relationship with my kids is? Flawed.

“Just like yours. We’ve been through a lot together (divorce, poverty, health issues, re-marriage, miscarriage, plus all the normal every-day chaos).

“We should be non-stop grateful and thrilled for how far we’ve come yet we still get selfish and impatient and overreact and hold grudges. We’re all still learning and failing and re-learning the same life lessons we should have mastered by now.

“Photos are quick moments, not full stories. And those quick moments are worth capturing because they’re great reminders of how much we should be thankful for. But don’t compare.

“Don’t assume. Put your energy into growing the love in your own family instead of comparing your whole story with other people’s moments.”

Her honest post has received over 600 comments and 3000 shares.

  • The sad thing is that if you did post the real stuff other imperfect parents would attack you to try and prove that they were more perfect then you are.

  • I highly doubt anyone actually thought her life was sunshine and rainbows. People only post the stuff they want people to see.

  • i love this honesty. i think we all may need to be reminder occasionally that parenthood is not always sunshine and lolliepops. but we do get paid in cuddles

  • Do people really need to explain this? I thought it was pretty obvious that online posts don’t and can’t show all the behind the scenes activities. Online is just for show, real life happens in the real world

  • I used to think that I had to live up to others expectations. I soon learnt differently and I’m glad I did.

  • I love this. It’s honest. So true and real. I have to keep reminding some that online lives are most times just the best of something, not the full story.

  • I love Kristina, she keeps it real!

  • A photo is a moment in time and it is for the viewer to interpret. Most people surely know that it is just a moment in time and that there is a story behind a photo and other stories attached to people.

  • Yes, just a snapshot it is. We all have our stories, our tears, our pain, our grumpy/annoyed moments and hopefully our happy moments.

  • I think most people realise that these people have issues too. It’s life.

  • That bribe would not have worked with one of our children, not even a farourite lolly that is at times “stolen” before meals
