Fans of Woolworths’ classic chocolate mud cake have gone wild over the retail giant’s latest creation.

A brand new limited edition chocolate mint mud cake.

Woolworths uploaded a video to their Facebook page, showing off a hack they created with the minty cake.

People were left drooling when they saw how they transformed the $4.40 cake into something truly amazing.

mint choc

Over 18,000 people have commented on the video, which shows three mud cakes being stacked up on top of each other, with icing in between each layer.

It then shows the icing being spread on the outside of the layers, making it into one big mint cake.

Chocolate sauce, mint slices, mint biscuits, mint leaf lollies are all added as decoration to pull the whole thing together.

Delicious! Hurry though they are a limited edition.

I’m not a fan of mint so it’s not a wonder I missed this special edition.

  • It looks amazing. So quick, easy and simple to do. I personally have not tried the mud cake but know a lot people who do love mint and chocolate.

  • I’m definitely no cook but the decorated cake looks amazing! A few times I’ve bought woolies or Coles mud cakes and decorated the top myself for kids bdays. A cheap & time saving way to make a bday cake, (especially when your mixer dies & cant afford a new one!) so as I can’t make a cake from scratch- these mud cakes are great for decorating yourself. I’m not a huge fan of mint but I think mint flavoured cake along with mint frosting & mint flavoured decorations might be too overpowering. But for looks and presentation- it looks fantastic!

  • Tried the mint cake
Nothing to rave about it was crap

  • The ideas sound good but considerably more effort than just buying the cake which looks quite plain.

  • Oh I am very inspired right now!!

  • OMG… whilst I love all things mint, this seems like overload even for me. I viewed it and looked at all of the ingredients and thought… I don’t know if I can do it. It looks amazing, but I’ve also tried a loaded choc mint shake that looks kind of similar, and I just couldn’t do it. Mint Overload.
