It whips up fine, but my husband ate this with lacteeze and still reacted. I think it would work if you were only mildly intolerant.

This is a great alternative for those prefer lactose free products. It tastes the same as regular cream and when making dishes to share people don’t notice that it’s lactose free.

The only reason I took half a star off is because there are two types of this cream. One says “For whipping” and the other says “For cooking” and “For Pouring” in tiny writing. I’ve been caught out a few times buying the cooking/pouring one to make whipped cream and it doesn’t work.

This Paul’s Zymil thickened cream whips just like regular cream but, the best part is that is dairy free. It tastes like regular cream and is great for anyone who has a dairy intolerance.

A reliable brand which has been around for a while and has quite a few dairy products. This is a good thickened cream product to use in creamy dishes, sauces and desserts

I buy this thickened cream for my pasta sauces as it gives a good creamy texture and doesn’t break up in the cooking process. It’s a good price and always good quality.

Brilliant as it is hard when your lactose intolerant and they are finally starting to cater for us, of course it is dearer but not much.

I don’t know if I just got a bad one but I tried this and hated it, it had a really gross after taste that I cannot even describe. It gets points for being an alternative for lactose free but not for me at all

This is my go to after if my other one isn’t available. I like it’s lactose free as I have a sensitive tummy and it doesn’t bother it. It’s nice smooth and yum.

Pauls Zymil Light Thickened Cream is lactose free and is perfect for cooking and pouring but it is not suitable for whipping.
It has a lovely taste, is easily digested and will not cause tummy problems like regular cream.
It is great for pouring over apple pie or desserts and is just superb for cooking (makes wonderful creamy pasta.)
If you require a thicker consistency you can try adding some gelatin.
It comes in a 300ml bottle and is more expensive than regular cream but for us lactose intolerant folk it’s a dream.
Losers a star for not being able to be whipped and expensive price but hey it’s hard to be perfect and this dreamy creamy product does come very close.
