I recently joined the Barilla pasta group so have been trying all sorts of cheeses lately and this was one I fell in love with.
It’s so great with pasta – gives it that extra flavour and is just a great mix in.
On its own, its great as well – just make sure the slices are thinner than your usual block cheese as it does have quite a strong flavour.
You can even use the rind to flavour your stocks so no bit of it goes to waste.
The Grana Padano cheese is so versatile when used in my Italian dishes or just served on a cheese platter. The semi-hard cheese grates well – I love this on pasta dishes – and has a slightly sweeter taste than Parmesan cheese. This is a good cheese with a great taste.
A very full-bodied, hard cheese that has a savoury and nutty taste with a dense, flaky texture. It is incredibly creamy and mild and with a lingering aftertaste. Delicious on its own or as an addition to many dishes.
