  • Great movie

    3.5 out of 5

This is a good drama, no action. I really liked Jennifer Lawrence in this movie and her character. She had so many things going on in her life and a lot of people would have cracked under the pressure with what she had to deal with in her family life. How she found the time to try and invent the mop she had the idea for amazed me. She never gave up and it nearly broke her financially and others she borrowed from. Also, she was lucky to get her break on tv advertising the mop and nearly blew it and then had crooks try and screw her over. A very inspirational movie.

  • Joy

    5 out of 5

I loved this movie. From rags to riches story proving that no matter how many lemons you get you can always make a way to make lemonade and then turn it into a prodigy.

  • A Joy

    5 out of 5

Joy is a terrific movie on so many levels. It is not a movie full of action, rather it is a character based movie and Jennifer Lawrence and the cast do remarkable jobs in retelling the incredible life and story of Joy . Well worth a watch for those that love a good quality character movie and like movies that inspire.

  • Bit boring

    1.5 out of 5

I love Jennifer Lawrence, so was keen to watch this movie. I really wanted to like it but I just couldn’t get into it! Found it a little boring at times!

  • inventor of the Miracle Mop

    3 out of 5

Jennifer Lawrence owns this one (and Bradley Cooper has a nice assist), but in the end, the movie just never really struck a chord with me…a lot of downer characters as well. I do remember watching a lot of those Miracle Mop infomercials though.
