I love the flavour of jalapenos and even grow my own but in the season when there is none in the yard then I buy jars of sliced ones. These are pretty mild but I usually go for another brand as these are always soft and sometimes mushy. I like a firm jalapeno. While I used to use a lot of this brand I have noticed their standards have slipped lower recently.
Now I’m a white guy and this spice is just too much for me to handle, I though mayo was spicy but my lord this is one of the hottest things I have ever tasted. These brands need to make this kind of food more available to white people like me!!
What on earth has happened to the heat of Old El Paso Green Jalapenos??? I think its weird that it has the 3 chilli hotness on the bottle when I think its not as hot as it use to be. My 11 year old daughter can eat them on their own without any problems. I still love the flavour but would love the heat to be higher.
Nice and hot jalapeƱos that hubby and I love adding to nachos and top other Mexican dishes. The kids get theirs jalapeƱo free, and I get the extra hehe
These are pretty hot. Not the hottest chilli on the planet, but they still pack a punch. They can be used in Mexican food like burritos, put in sandwiches or on pizza. If you’re brave you can eat them straight from the jar. They keep for ages in the fridge.
Old El Pasco green jalapenos are a very hot and tasty jalapeno that we like to use on our mexican dishes and home-made pizza’s,they really make the flavour of the meal perfect.
