Actually really love any of the Sunrice rice cakes. Both the thick and the thin varieties are fabulous and are great to nibble on plain or with a wide range of toppings.
I absolutely love these light puffed rice cakes.
However, I am increasingly finding many cakes in a packet have not been properly puffed.
They contain thin areas where the rice grains have not been vacuum puffed and contain hard, unpalatable grains that I cannot crack and get stuck in my teeth – almost like plastic.
They used to be uniformly excellent but now appear to be sloppily made – perhaps some better quality control is needed.
Love Rice Cakes instead of bread, makes for a good change. The Rich Cakes can be topped with shaved meat, cream or cottage cheese and a touch of tomato. A healthier light lunch.
I’m usually a potato chip person but when I want to be a little more healthy I reach for Sunrice’s Thick rice cakes. They are crunchy and have a very mild and comforting taste. I often just add cheese to them, but you can add whatever you like, stewed apples, jam etc.
I love these sunrice thick rice cakes. They are awesome with avocado, and just a smidge of sour cream. Love that I can do so and not add weight to my hips LOL
