i love this recipe its so easy to make yourself when you feel like something quick, it tastes super delicious and there is no added sugar.

Ingredients (serves 10 | makes 2 cups )

  • 3/4 cup white vinegar
  • 7 small dried red chillies ( chopped)
  • 2 tbsp (grated) ginger
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 4 sprigs shallots ( chopped finley)
  • 1 tbsp chilli seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce
  • 3 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp prickly ash oil


  1. finely chop the dried chilli and shallots then add all ingredients into a bowl stir until combined well and then serve.

Notes... i love this sauce its really healthy and super quick to make yourself.

  • Sichuan pepper is also available as an oil (Chinese: 花椒油, marketed as either “Sichuan pepper oil”, “Bunge prickly ash oil”, or “huajiao oil”). In this form, it is best used in stir-fry noodle dishes without hot spices.
