Tasty variation on savoury mince.


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 500g mince
  • 2 rashers Bacon , chopped
  • 3/4 cup Chicken stock (Approx)
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 1/2 packet cooked flat noodles
  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • 1 med onion, chopped
  • 1/4 Cabbage
  • 2 med carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 small red Capsicum, chopped

Method

  1. Fry onion and garlic until golden
  2. Add mince meat and chopped bacon
  3. When cooked add carrots and celery cover and cook for 5 minutes
  4. Add cabbage and capsicums, cook until veggies are soft
  5. Add stock and pepper and salt, soy sauce and noodles. Mix through Cook for further few minutes until warmed through

Notes

Funny name .. but delicious and filling meal. Great for winter ( or any time really !) A good tip is to chop all the veggies ahead to be ready to go.

  • My mother makes a similar dish and it is one of my favourites. I will have to ask her to add the carrots, celery, cabbage and capsicums next time.
