Camembert is ideal to serve when friends come over for a drink. It is a French tradition to serve with an aperitif.

Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 round of Camembert
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave
  • 1/4 cup pistachios
  • Cracked pepper and salt

Method

  1. With a mortar and pestle, crush the pistachios; season with salt and pepper.
  2. Cut the camembert into eight equal pieces.
  3. Slather the sides with the honey or agave and roll in the crushed pistachios.
  4. Serve with country baguette.

  • So simple and yet it looks seriously amazing. I am so giving this a go.

  • Little bit disappointed. I thought it would be baked. I was picturing all these ingredients in a hot gooey chunk of cheese


    • You can sure do that ! Or deep fried is also yum. Toss camembert through flour, then egg, then bread or nut crumbs and deep fry it in some oil.
