Method

  1. Grease and line an 18cm x 28cm lamington pan with baking paper.
  2. Combine NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk, sugar, butter and syrup in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil, stirring constantly, making sure not to burn. Cook for 10 minutes or until golden brown and thick.
  3. Fold through biscuits and pour into prepared pan, refrigerate for 2-4 hours or until cold.
  4. Combine chocolate and copha, reserve. Remove slice from pan. With smooth side facing up, smooth chocolate mixture over top of slice, refrigerate until set. Cut into squares or triangles.

  • This is just absolutely my favourite slice. I do prefer to eat it when made by others or bought in-store. My version never quite turns out right. Ah well, I guess I should keep trying (and tasting) though!

    • I hope you keep trying – because once you get it right – a caramel slice recipe is such a good one to have in your slice recipe folder/file.

  • I take it the biscuits are broken up or are they used whole? Woll try it with broken as this makes sense to me.
