For anybody who loves Chocolate and strawberries this is simple but delicious.

Ingredients (makes 10-12 )

  • 1 Punet Strawberries
  • 200gm Cooking Chocolate

Method

  1. Temper your chocolate. You can do it anyway you like but here is a method you can use. Get a medium pot for heating water and a metal bowl l that will fit snugg in the pot and a spatula for stirring.
  2. Heat the water and fill the pot with water and bring it up to a simmer. Turn off the heat. Begin melting the chocolate and make sure your bowl is very dry, as any drops of water will seize up the chocolate. Put about 2/3 of your chocolate in the bowl and place it over the water. The water should be touching a large area of the bottom of the bowl. Be very careful that the water does not splash into the bowl. Do not stir! Let the chocolate sit in bowl over the hot water, uncovered, until it is about 2/3 melted.
  3. Stir until completely melted then after the chocolate is about 2/3 melted, gently stir it and allow it to melt further. Add remaining the chocolate and remove the bowl from the water and stir in the remaining chocolate. Stir slowly and gently until the chocolate is completely melted. You are now ready to dip your strawberries!
  4. Have a tray ready lined with baking paper. Get a skewer or for fork and dip the strawberries into the melted chocolate until completely covered. Put the chocolate coated strawberries on the lined tray and place in the fridge for 5 mins and enjoy.

Notes

  • Hate to say it, but that’s not how you temper chocolate, that’s simply melting it. And most chefs say don’t let the water touch the bottom of the bowl
