Delicious treats that make great gifts.


Ingredients (makes 24 Balls)

  • 3tbs Dried cranberries
  • 1/2 tin Condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup Oats
  • 2tbs Spiced rum
  • 60g Carob powder
  • 1tsp Lemon juice
  • 24 Glace cherries
  • 1 1/2 cup Desicated coconut

Method

  1. Combine cranberries, 1 cup of coconut, condensed milk, oats, rum, carob and lemon juice. Mix well.
  2. Roll into balls, insert a cherry into the centre and roll in coconut. Refrigerate.

Notes

Omit rum if serving to children. Carob can be substituted with cocoa or cacao.

  • i regularly make the truffles with condensed milk, biscuits and cocoa. I’m looking forward to trying them with the dried fruit and oats
