Quick and easy choc-banana pikelets.

Ingredients (makes 13 Regular pikelets)

  • 1 Cup Wholemeal or gluten free flour
  • 3/4 Cup Milk of your choice (I use cow or almond)
  • 2 Tsp Cacao powder
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Ripe banana

Method

  1. Mix flour, egg, milk and cacao powder together in a bowl. Once combined add the banana and mash it into the mixture until blended in or small lumps of banana in mixture. Add a little more milk if needed to make a thick but smooth batter.
  2. Add a little butter to a frying pan on a low heat. Add spoonfuls of mixture. Once bubbles start to appear on the surface of the pikelets, flip over.

Notes

You could also try this recipe with other fruits if you can't have or don't like bananas. Add a little more cacao powder if you'd like more chocolatey. Perfect little chocolate snack thats healthy for your little one.
