A healthy alternative for afternoon tea the family will love


Ingredients (serves 8)

  • 1 can Chickpeas
  • 4 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Almond Meal
  • 1 1/2 cups dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup Stevia OR Natvia (natural sweetener)
  • pinch baking powder

Method

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or on a double boiler
  2. Blend the chickpeas and eggs in a blender until smooth
  3. Add sweetner and baking powder and pulse until combined
  4. Transfer mixture to a bowl and fold in almond meal
  5. Fold in the dark chocolate
  6. Bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
  7. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving

  • just wondered could you use flour instead of almond meal?


    • If you use flour its no longer gluten free and you would probably need to test it to determine if the quantity of flour is less than that required of almond meal.
