Ingredients

  • 300 grams unsalted shelled peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp honey
  • peanut oil or vegetable oil

Method

  1. Heat oven to 175 deg c. Roast peanuts for 3 minutes, stir then roast another 3 to 5 minutes until lightly browned . Let cool.
  2. Add peanuts a food processor. Process 1 minute, scrape down sides of bowl. Then process another 2 minutes until peanut butter becomes shiny and smooth. Now, add salt and honey and process until combined. Check the consistency, and add a little extra oil if necessary.
  3. Put into jar and store in the refrigerator up to a month.

  • So easy ! I make it most of the time with just roast peanut and a little Himalayan sea salt. Also nice to vary with cinnamon instead of honey (or both)

  • My local healthfood store blends peanuts into butter for you, all you need is to add salt and oil. Only problem is it tends to dry out and be hard to spread.

  • Bega recently bought out a product called “Simply Nuts Peanut Butter” it is amazing. All it contains is Australian grown peanuts and a bit of salt. Loving it.
