Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 1 can Young jackfruits
  • 300 gr Fried tofu
  • 50 gr Curry paste
  • 225 ml Fresh milk
  • 100 ml Water
  • 50 gr Dried enchovies
  • 1 tbs Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 Onion, chopped
  • Salt for taste ( if necessary) )

Method

  1. Heat up oil in a saucepan, add onion stir fry until fragrant. Add dried enchovies and curry paste, jackfruit and fried tofu, stir for a while.
  2. Add fresh milk, water and salt for taste. Simmer for 20 minutes or until the sauce thicken and jackfruit tender. Add a little more water if necessary. Place to a serving bowl. Serve.

    • at your local market, a lot of asian people love this fruit so ask your asian friends. some asian supermarkets will have some in their fruit or cool section. or at least you will be able to find the tinned version. you might find the tinned jackfruit in woolies international food section if you are extremely lucky
