This was my mum's recipe that I acquired and adapted to my own way. It is also one of my sons favourite all time meals.

Ingredients

  • 1 Packet Sausages
  • 1 Onion diced
  • 1-2 tablespoons Relish
  • 2 Beef stock cubes
  • 1 Tablespoon Curry powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Plain Flour
  • 1-2 Cups Water
  • Splash Milk
  • Splash Cream
  • 1-2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Crushed Garlic

Method

  1. Put whole sausages in large saucepan of boiling water and boil for a few minutes. Take of boil and put in colander and run cold tap water over them and peel the skins off. Put on breadboard and cut into pieces a few centimetres long.
  2. Melt butter and garlic and add onion and cook.
  3. Add curry powder and stir in until all blended and fragrant. Add crushed stock cubes and relish to the mix until combined. Add plain flour and stir until all combined. Add water and stir until all ingredients are blended through.
  4. Add cut up and skinned sausages to the mix and bring to boil in sauce. Add milk and cream to own tasting and allow to simmer away for 10 at least. I find the longer you simmer the more the flavours come together and intensify into a yummy dish!

Notes... This recipe is so adaptable and you can use quantities to own taste. Larger families could use more sausage and I often do so we have yummy left overs in the fridge.
