A very quick and easy healthy slice for the whole family. If you don’t want nuts substitute for oats, dried apricots, dried apple.

Ingredients (makes 10 Fingers)

  • 1 cup Dates
  • 1/4 cup Cashews (or oats & dried fruit)
  • 1/4 cup Coconut
  • 1tsp Cacao powder

Method

  1. Place all ingredients into a food processor and mix well.
  2. Line a container or tray with cling wrap and pour mix in. Press down so that it is flat and then cover and place in fridge.
  3. When set, pull out cling wrap and cut into desired sizes. Store in fridge.

Notes

I make this about once a week so always have one in the fridge. It's a great pre-gym snack or something to keep you satisfied until the next main meal.

  • Sounds yum. Think I’d have to at least double the recipe though as it wouldn’t go far in my house ;)

  • I think I would like these more with extra fruit. Still delicious as they are, but I might try more fruit

  • We tried this but made it into balls as that is what the toddlers wanted. Rolled them in extra coconut and without nuts was allowed into kindy treat time.

    • Think I’ll try it this way too…looking for some kindy treats so this will work well
