This is a really healthy, tasty, easy and versatile recipe that can be used for breakfast, snacks, or even last minute desserts. The ground flaxseed contains plant-based omega-3s that are really beneficial (being ground means you can digest them well), along with the fibre content of the oats that will leave you feeling satisfied. Add a variety of fruit to the top and you are set for an amazing healthy offering!

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 0.5 cup quick oats
  • 1 tbl ground flaxseed
  • 0.25 milk
  • 0.5 banana
  • 3 strawberries
  • 0.5 kiwi fruit
  • 1 tbl natural youghart

Method

  1. Mix the quick oats and ground flaxseed, then add milk and cook in microwave for 1 minute
  2. Top with chopped banana, strawberries and kiwi fruit before adding a spoon of natural yoghurt
