Ingredients (makes 16 Squares)

  • 50 grams Butter
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 200 gram Pepitas
  • 1 Weet-Bix, crushed
  • 1/2 cup Sultanas or Diced Dried Apricots
  • 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
  • 1/2 cup Self-Raising Flour

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 170 degrees and line a square pan with baking paper.
  2. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine butter, sugar and honey. Cook 2-3 minutes, stirring until smooth and sugar has dissolved. Cool slightly.
  3. Combine the Pepitas, Weet-Bix, dried fruit, rolled oats and flour in a bowl. Add the butter mixture. Stir until combined.
  4. Spoon into pan. Bake for approximately 25 minutes. Leave in pan until cooled completely. Cut into slices and serve.

  • Thanks for sharing! Another rather healthy slice I can make the kids. Can opt for Nuttakex, instead if butter to make this slice dairy free for my daughter who’s allergic to dairy.

  • been using a lot more grains and seeds and pepita to make home made muesli. But this recipe sounds so delicious and got ingredients to hand, so copied it and ran it off to bake today as sounds and looks fantastic so must try NOW!

  • This is so yummy and great for anyone gluten free if u use gluten free so flour, rice malt syrup and gf weetbix. Live it I have made it both ways and it tastes so good.
