Finger food is great for babies and this recipe is perfect as a snack for when you’re on the run.

Suitable for babies 9 months +.

Ingredients (makes 12 fingers)

  • 250g chicken mince
  • 1/4 leek, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 pouch of Rafferty’s Garden pear + apricot (+ nothing else)

Method

  1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix thoroughly (this is best done with your clean hands).
  2. Mould mixture into desired shape. Fingers work well for a baby’s grasp. Grill for 8 minutes or until golden then turn and continue for further 4 minutes.

Notes

Can be frozen in zip locked bags for up to 3 months.

  • Kind of apricot chicken in pattie form, minus all the sauce. But if you cook apricot chicken up for everyone else, bub can have a bowl of gravy on the side for dipping!
