These bliss balls are yum!

Ingredients (serves 10)

  • 1/2 cup Chia cacao bites
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup coconut
  • 1/4 cup oats
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3/4 cup medjool dates
  • 1/4 cup sultanas or craisins
  • 1/4 cup rice malt syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean paste
  • 1/4 cup raw cacao
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup (Optional)

Method

  1. Place the sunflower seeds in food processor and blitz on high for 1 minute. Add the rest of the dry ingredients, dates/fruit and blitz for a further minute.
  2. Add vanilla, rice malt and maple and process until it comes together. Approx 30 seconds. (if your mix is too dry try adding a tbsp of coconut oil)
  3. Wet hands and roll into balls. Toss in coconut and refrigerate.

Notes

If you substitute coconut oil for the rice malt ensure the balls are eaten straight from the fridge.

  • These would work wonderfully as christmas treats.

  • Lots of ingredients, but I guess they last, can you freeze the balls?

  • These look and sound very yummy indeed

  • With medjool dates, sultanas, rice malt syrup and maple syrup these are rather sweet and sugary. I prefer them less sweet.

  • While these look and sound nice to me, having to purchase all of these new ingredients would make it expensive to me. I make other versions of these, truffles, choc balls, etc.

  • I’m going to have to google the chia bites I have never seen those ones but they sound nice and look nice.

  • They do look and sound yum. I don’t have many of these ingredients readily on hand though, I’d need to build up to it.
