To make a little more festive, once they are out of the oven and still hot, place an after dinner mint or an orange thin on top and allow to cool. Store in an airtight container.

Ingredients (makes 20 biscuits)

  • 125 grams Butter (Not margarine)
  • 1/3 Cup Castor Sugar
  • 1 1/4 Cups Plain Flour

Method

  1. Cream butter and sugar, slowly add flour.
  2. Knead mix until smooth, then roll out. Cut with a round cutter.
  3. Place on a tray and prick with a fork, bake for around 30 minutes at 160d on greased baking trays.

Notes

These also make a great last minute "oops we for got to buy for" chrissy present. We do several batches and combine these and mince pies to give away.
