Morning tea, afternoon tea or even breakfast, “Smiles” the fruit face is one of my toddlers favourite snacks. Always puts a smile on their faces.


Ingredients (serves 1 | makes 1 Fruit face)

  • 1/2 Apple
  • Sultanas
  • 1/2 Banana
  • 1/2 Mandarin

Method

  1. Slice Apple across the core to cut Apple into rings. Place sultanas on top of the Apple rings to make "Smiles" pupils.
  2. Cut a wedge of Apple to make "Smiles" nose. Place in middle of plate.
  3. Cut banana into rounds and lay in a smiley shape at the bottom of the plate to make "Smiles" mouth.
  4. Peel a mandarin and arrange wedges on top of the plate to make "Smiles" hair.

Notes

The fruits you can use are limitless, just see whats in season or what's in your fruit bowl. You can also add nuts.
