Simple and delicious on its own, or as a base for trickier ice cream recipes.

This recipe makes wonderful smoothies too! Just add 1/2 cup extra milk, and any greens you’d like!


Ingredients (serves 4)

  • 4 Bananas
  • 2tbsp Honey
  • 1tsp Vanilla
  • 2 cups Milk of your choice

Method

  1. Blend together in food processor.

Notes... Serve immediately, or freeze in airtight container until needed. Variations: Add 1tsp cinnamon; Swap half the banana for frozen mango, add 2tbsp LSA meal or stir through chopped macadamia nuts after blending, to achieve mango weis bar flavour; Add frozen strawberries and chopped dark chocolate; Add cherry liquer, glace cherries, coconut, and dark chocolate for cherry ripe; Add 1-2tbsp softened peanut butter, 1tsp extra honey; Add 1-2tbsp softened peanut butter, stir/marble in 1/8-1/4 cup jam before serving for PB & J flavour' Add 1/8 cup top-n-fill, chopped chocolate, 1/4tsp sea salt; Add splash of rum or brandy, sultanas, fruit peel, and crushed nuts for christmas cake flavour; Add popcorn, salted caramel, chocolate, fruit, pretzels, maple syrup, crushed cookies, the options are endless!

They turn black and are horribly hard to peel! LOL! Lesson learnt! Peel, chop, freeze in glad bags! ;) LOL! Have a great night! :)
