I cooked my pav a little longer as I wanted ilana nicer and thicker pav crust and hand beat the while recipe though you can easily do it with a electric hand mixer

Ingredients (serves 6 | makes 1 pavolva 6 slices)

  • 4 large Egg whites
  • 1 cup Castor sugar
  • 1/8 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1tbsp Cornfour
  • 1 tin Passionfruit pulp in syrup
  • 1 bottle Thickened cream
  • 4 drops Pink rose food colouring


  1. Preheat oven to 120 celcius line a large baking tray with baking paper and trace a 20 cm circle on the paper
  2. Place egg whites in a bowl with cream of tartar and mix until firm peaks form then gradually add sugar until incorporated and lastly on low power add corn flour and mix until just combined
  3. Spoon mixture in the circle bake for 1 1/2- 1 3/4 hrs then turn oven off and leave pavlova to cool in oven Whip thickened cream with food colouring until firm Serve with whipped cream and a decent serving of passionfruit pulp

Notes... I made my recipe following a woolworths pamphlet though tweaked a little to make it slightly different as it was only a pavlova recipe and it turned out great
