A dainty little treat


Ingredients (makes 20 small biscuits)

  • 85 grams butter
  • 2 tablespoons Icing sugar
  • 3/4 cup plain flour
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons custard powder

Method

  1. Turn oven on to 180 degrees
  2. Cream butter and sifted icing sugar until light and fluffy
  3. Add sifted flour and custard powder
  4. Mix well ( add a splash of milk if a little dry at this stage)
  5. Roll into balls. Place on paper lined baking tray. Flatten gently with a fork . Top some with a 1/2 glace cherry if desired
  6. Bake for 10 -15 minutes

Notes

I used to make these with my daughters when they were little and have tea parties. Now I can do the same with the grandchildren!
