It’s green and it’s a blood builder loaded with protein and vitamins

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1 cup cloudy apple juice
  • 1 large celery stick
  • 1 tbsp organic honey
  • 1 tsp wheatgrass powder

Method

  1. Add all ingredients (except honey) to a high speed nutrient blender and whip for 15-20 seconds.
  2. Mix in honey and pour juice into a glass.
  3. Decorate with a twist of lemon. Serve.

Notes

Wheatgrass is an effective healer because it contains all minerals and vitamins, extremely rich in protein, and contains 17 amino acids, You can add more apple juice or honey to sweeten it, or add more celery for fiber intake.

    • Same here, when I get my hands on the good quality cloudy apple juice, that’s a happy moment.
You can definitely get wheatgrass powder these days from the good food stores or the health section at the supermarket. Missey.

  • I am slightly wondering why a green apple or two was not used instead of the cloudy apple juice but no matter. I actually have some wheat seeds that I intended to sprout so I could make my own wheat-grass but alas that was as far as I got, must get around to it. Thanks so much for your healthy juice recipe Missey Grace and all the very best to you. :-)

    • LOL, you can definitely use fresh apples. It just happened that I have a bottle of very nice quality cloudy apple juice so I added to this concoction. I didn’t have fresh wheatgrass on hand and the powder works really well in this recipe too. Enjoy, Missey :)

      • You are always so positive Missey and offer good feedback and alternatives.

      • Oh thank-you mom, I chose to be on the happy side, and I’ve been helped by many kind people during the path of my vegetarian journey, so it’s time that I contribute my worth to anyone who would accept it. Thanks again for your comments. Missey :)

      • A pleasure! Thanks for sharing your recipes, contributions and happiness. :)
