Hello!

When my girls were born I hoped they would have a blankie, or a teddy that they loved to death. Now that they have it, I wished they didn’t!!

Yesterday was the first time I thought “it’s really gone”. Most of the time when the cry of “Where’s doggy????” start, I put my search party hat on and he is found in a matter of minutes. Yesterday it was hours. Miss three as in a state, as was I!

He was found, thankfully. But I am now looking into tracking devices for soft toys as I dont think I can go through that again! Im thinking a wrist band for doggy will be a wise move.

I tell you it was almost as stressfull as when our real dog went walkabout….

  • I’ve got friends who have multiple blankets/teddy for wash days and MIA.

  • It’s lovely they are so attached, but not so good when they lose their comfort toy. A few friends got multiples of the same toy/ blankie to save for when the originals got lost.

  • I could only think what you went through but I was lucky and mine did not have that as they just slept with what was there flavor of the month and always had more than one item at a time…but in saying that I had a teddy and he did not leave my bed even after I was married and pregnant with my second child and to this day teddy is still in my house but not my bed and I am 47. I am a sook when it comes to things like that as he hold all my childhood memories.

  • My kids change their favourites every day – even harder to keep track of!

  • I must admit that I cheated when my little one got attached to her elephant and would not go to sleep without it…I hunted them down and bought another two of them! I could have one in the wash, one being dried and one with my daughter. It has been a life saver!

    • I wish I could! Doggy is a once off. He is a star naming doggy. He came with the rights to a star named after my late poppa (her great poppa) so cant get another. Sigh. …. lol

  • Oh that is a desperate feeling when you think the favourite item is gone forever. How do things go when doggy needs a wash? I have memories of a fretting child standing in front of the washing machine waiting for bear to come out . Oh dear! Maybe I should have snuck bear away at night for a wash but that seemed full of potential problems too. Good luck with tracking doggy : )

    • When doggy needs a wash she does it lol. It’s just easier when she is the one to put him in. !
