Hello!

So my kids had been bugging us for years to go camping. I am generally not a camping person. So when my local church group decided to have a family camp and said there would be cabins, I felt it would be a great adventure.
It put me out of my comfort zone, eating food around a fire, hiking in the woods, swimming in the lake. Although the indoor plumbing and proper bed of the cabin helped.
You could tell my kids aren’t campers! LOL! They got splinters in their feet, chewed alive by mozzies, burnt in the sun from not reapplying sunscreen, cut their feet on rocks and spent half their time complaining about the fresh air.
All in all we had a great weekend and spent time bonding and making really great new friends.
