Hello!

Giving to others and compassion are very important to me and I want to teach this to my children. Each Xmas we do the presents under the Xmas tree for make a wish foundation, but this year i wanted to do more than just donating. I wanted to make more of a difference, raise more awareness and money. My son Cooper is 4 and he is just a real sweet child. Recently we did Light the Night for Leukaemia Foundation and we have also done the SIDS Stampede for SIDS and sleep apnoea research (sleep apnoea was something my son was diagnosed with earlier this year). He knows we do these things to help sick kids and other people who need help. His understanding and compassion amazes me every day. I feel proud I am raising a good young man :-)

  • That’s beautiful. My girls are always raiding my coins at the checkout to put into the donation boxes.

  • LOVE IT! We do the same with Operation Christmas Child Boxes and they help me shop for pantry bits and bobs to take to Salvos every Christmas season. Usually over time we amass a decent amount of stuff buy picking up one extra item a shop!

It really does further sweeten the childrens natures, to look beyond themselves and wanting to understand how life is precious but easier/harder for others and why.

    Good on you little man!

  • You are well on the way in raising your young boy to become a true gentleman, well done. The act of giving far outweighs the feeling of receiving as it’s better :)
