High school teacher filmed up the skirts of schoolgirls and their mothers during parent interviews.

Brendan Cohen, 52, was sentenced to five months in jail but granted bail while waiting for an appeal, shares Daily Mail.

Mr Cohen pleaded guilty to filming up the skirts of students at Bialik College and Mount Scopus Memorial College in Melbourne, both on the grounds and during parent-teacher interviews between 2015 and 2017.

He admitted to creating child pornography by photo-shopping faces of 36 children aged from 11 to 17-years-old on to pornographic photos and a video, the Herald Sun reported.

Victoria Police found more than 80 videos made by Mr Cohen, filmed up the skirts of parents and students during searches of the school in May 2017.

Magistrate Charlie Rozencwajg said Mr Cohen’s actions were ‘fundamentally wrong’ and he would’ve been jailed for nine months if not for his early guilty plea.

Mr Cohen was sentenced to serve a two-year Community Corrections Order. Mr Cohen has been disqualified from teaching and will appear in the County Court for an appeal hearing on April.

  • The teacher should gave got a longer term than that for each person he did that to. – not 5 months + community service. He would then be in gaol for life and should never be released or granted parole. The laws need fixing. Some of the sentences are a sick joke. The Police had plenty of evidence ofhis disgusting behaviour. The Mums and daughters should be allowed to sue him too.

    • Being disqualified is reassurance for parents. Do people go on lists?

  • An early guilty plea is a disgusting reason not to lock him up. What he did is abhorrent and he’s not even bring punished!
