European study found if your toddler throws crazy ar#e tantrums they are more likely to strike it rich as an adult!

The Study published in Developmental Psychology tracked the income and education of kids who attended schools in Luxembourg and found that those who resisted authority and defied their parents in their younger years, tended to stay in school longer, go into further education and succeed in top jobs.

Another study from the University of Pennsylvania psychologist, Angela Duckworth, also backed this theory up.

She said that if kids display a personality trait she labelled as ‘grit’ from an early age, they are far more likely to find career success.

Maggie Dent says toddler meltdowns are part of normal developmental behaviour. Read her thoughts on the matter here.

  • I follow that meltdown leads to stubbornness but not sure about success in schooling. I wonder how big the study was or how long they tracked the children.
