Yes!! Our favourite ’90s detective pair is back in the third installment of the Bad Boys movie – this one called Bad Boys for Life.

It’s been 16 years, since Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, teamed up on the fierce streets of Miami. And by the looks of the preview, this movie is going to be full of fun. However, fans have spent less time commenting on the plot, and have rather focused teasing Lawrence on his appearance.

The trailer shows Lawrence messing up an interrogation of a tattooed suspect.
“I’m gonna penetrate this man’s soul with my heart,” says Lawrence, before getting knocked out with a punch.
Smith retorts: “How deep do you think you got into his soul?”

Since the trailer has been released, Will Smith’s partner-in-crime has been the subject of ridicule, with the twitter tweets flowing:

The Movie Story

But back to the plot. In this movie, Detective Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) is thinking about retiring from the police force. But Detective Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) convinces him that he should leave more of a legacy than “body shots and bodies.” So they decide to team up for a final time to bring down a Miami cartel boss.

The cast also includes Vanessa Hudgens, Charles Melton and Alexander Ludwig. The movie will hit our screens on 16 January 2020.

More on Mouths of Mums

  • They are great movies! I would definitely look to watch the new one and people need to get a life. They think it is okay to pick on people just because they are famous.

  • Very sad, hopefully those people don’t “get fat” with age. And who knows what was wanted for the film. Usually stars fit the role so maybe it’s intended.

  • Well of course they are older and most of the time, as we age we put on weight. Hate fat shamers.

  • Never seen the movie, fat shaming has become so common that people no longer see its wrong

  • Fat shaming is just ridiculous. 16 years on and I would expect them to look a little different.

  • I have never watch them before.

  • I’ve never watched these movies. Not my kind of thing.

  • Is this really an issue? At least someone on screen looks normal

  • If he has put on weight so what. It just makes him normal like every one else. I’m certainly going to watch the movie first chance I get. Martin Lawrence and Will Smith make a great team to watch and I’m sure this will be no exception

  • People’s bodies change, I bet it will still be a good movie

  • No one deserves to be shamed, keyboard trolls suck! I for one cannot wait for this third instalment, my only concern would be if the crispy or filming is poor.

  • we can body shame men, isn’t it only women that are allowed to be offended.
    Double standards and hypocrisy much

  • I can’t even remember if I’ve seen the first. Was Tea Leoni in it?

  • Wow, that is so cruel! does it even matter what he looks like (as long as they don’t kill the movie with a bad script haha)

  • I never saw this show or know these actors, but not ok to judge people on their appearance.
