Aldi has got shoppers in a spin with its affordable vegan chocolate Easter egg that is also allergy-friendly and super delicious!

The Easter season isn’t the healthiest time of the year. Chocolate is the food group of the weekend and sugar is a constant temptation. Thankfully, Aldi has come to the rescue, offering the more health conscious a chance to join in on the festive fun and avoid a number of dietary nasties at the same time!

Guilt-Free Indulgence

Aldi’s Sweet William healthy chocolate range offers customers all the joy of Easter indulgence with a difference. It is free from dairy, gluten, nuts and eggs! This makes it perfect for those with allergies, but also those who struggle to find affordable vegan chocolate. The range includes hollow chocolate Easter eggs and a chocolate bunny, both available in milk and white chocolate options. Not only is the chocolate vegan and allergy friendly, but it also has less saturated fat than other chocolate products and contains no artificial colours or preservatives.

All About Balance

While we don’t have any plans to totally ban Cadbury Creme Eggs and other Easter favourites from our chocolate stash this weekend, we have to give Aldi points for catering to a variety of dietary requirements. There is nothing more frustrating than being forced to pay extra simply because you need to avoid certain ingredients in your chocolate so Aldi’s range is a welcome addition!

Will you be trying Aldi’s vegan and allergy friendly chocolate range? Let us know in the comments!

  • I tried one of the bunnies and they’re quite nice, just the same as the dairy kind. If anybody’s looking for a vegan substitute for Cadbury Cream Eggs though, try Treat Dreams creme eggs. They’re delicous.

  • Cadburys and Red Tulip are the only Easter chocolates I buy, with a few Kinders thrown in. No Aldi in tassie anyway

  • Great there is some cheap choices for those that can get there. Growing up the sugar egg was my friend at Easter as could not have chocolate.

  • Never tried it and not sure I want or need to but great that they are catering for people with allergies so they don’t have to miss out.

  • I wish I had known about these sooner. I have a relative who is dairy free because of medical problems, not just Lactose Intolerant.

  • My youngest is diary free and I’ve 2 kids on gluten free, so it’s good to have these options. I got my Easter chocolates from the Health food store and ordered some at Loving Earth.
