Such great news! ABC favourite Spicks and Specks is coming back to our TV screens.
It has recently been announced that the much-loved music quiz show is making a comeback, complete with original host Adam Hills along with Myf Warhurst and Alan Brough.
The new series of Spicks and Specks will also feature new cast members including Ella Hooper and Adam Richard.
The music quiz show was on our screens from 2005 to 2011, with Warhurst and Brough as team captains and comedian Adam Hills as host.
The show then returned in 2014 with a new cast and wasn’t that favourably received by audiences. However a special reunion bringing back together the trio was a massive success.
The Spicks And Specks Trio Are Back Together Again
“From the moment Alan, Myf and I were together in a room for last year’s Spicks and Specks Reunion Special, we had each other in fits of laughter. Any time I can spend with those two fools is time well spent, and if it takes four more specials to make that happen — so be it,” said Hills in an ABC statement.
“The response to last year’s show was overwhelming, both in the studio when we filmed it and at home when it went to air. Spicks and Specks has a special place in our hearts, and I’m genuinely excited to make a few more specials for the ABC.”
Spicks and Specks will return to TV for a special episode in November to celebrate ABC’s Ausmusic Month. The show promises “an impressive line-up of stars from the music and comedy worlds”. Then after that, three more Spicks and Specks episodes will air in 2020. Hopefully, more will follow.
