Around the world on February 14th men and women celebrate love, friendship and the spirit of beauty. Valentine’s is a day where making someone feel special may be as simple as an anonymous card or box of chocolate. Whether you are in a relationship, have a secret admirer or are happy being single. It is one day that every female feels they need to feel beautiful by wearing that romantic dress or skinny jeans. It’s really about you feeling beautiful on the inside. Then it will radiate on the outside.

So what should you wear?  The look you can create can range from bold and flirtatious to sexy, independent and fun.

Colours: With the main colours for Valentine’s Day being red, white and pink. Many women choose to add a touch of apricot, purple, black or romantic beige. Many look great in floras or stripes. Always choose an outfit that flatters your appearance and makes you feel special.

Make up: As for makeup a good choice is always to keep it neutral and simple, focusing on highlighting your natural beauty. If you are wearing red then opt for a neutral lipstick or clear gloss. The smoky eye shadow look is always alluring and sexy.

Lingerie: Now the most important clothing is the lingerie. Make sure it is matching and not visible until you are ready to expose it.

Detail: Paying attention to the details helps complete the look. You need to feel great, look great and smell fabulous. Choose a beautiful intimate scent that accentuates your personality. Whether it is Chanel or YSL we all resonate to a particular scent – floral, oriental, Chypre, Green or fougere.

The key is to look stylish with a hint of seduction – always leaving something to the imagination. So whether your Valentine’s Day is spent at a romantic restaurant or sitting in the park with a friend sharing a sandwich remember it’s all about LOVE and FRIENDSHIP.

  • an overhyped holiday based on spending money and hiked prices. it doesn’t need to be valentines day for my husband and I to celebrate our love – we enjoy sharing moments together everyday.

  • While I think it’s great to celebrate love and friendship, I think valentines day is way way too commercialised!

    • I’m with you there, too commercialised it’s like it’s expected your partner has to romance you. I prefer unexpected little romance surprises.
