An office Secret Santa has ended up being not-so-secret, after a woman Googled the value of what she was given and found out it was $20 below the price limit.

She didn’t just stop there, the woman went on to message her co-worker, asking for a different present.

A $120 Samsung Galaxy tablet.

Honestly didn’t believe people like this actually existed. Why do a lot of them seem to be middle-aged women with kids? Anyway…enjoy the show folks! from r/ChoosingBeggars

  • How ridiculous to google the price of a present. Be grateful and just accept.

  • To spent less then the set amount is not ok, sneaky !
But to google the price of a gift given to you ? That’s sneaky too and very unthankful !
And then to claim a gift with a higher price ? Even in regards to gift we stand on our “rights” ? My mouth drops open, I have no words !!

  • I think it is rude to spend significantly less than the set amount in a workplace secret santa.
But her behaviour is a whole new level of rude!

  • Why would you google a Secret Santa present – disgraceful! I have never ever done this and would not dream if doing such a thing.

  • Just downright rude and ungrateful, appalling behaviour.

  • If this is real it makes work very awkward now.

  • It’s too blurry to read. But if limit is $50 you have to spend that you can’t accept a $50 gift for yourself if you have only spent $20 on someone else. These things are not compulsory so you can always say not this year no one will mind.

  • this is what we are breeding now, an age of what they believe as entitlement. I am on this earth & i am entitled to whatever i want. (i lay the blame at some parents & the so called do-gooders for this) as far as i am concerned give the gift back & shut your mouth & just be thankful that you got something, there are lots of people who just can’t afford to buy any type of present but they do just to save face. Grow up or shut the hell up

  • Oh my goodness that’s just greedy.

Don’t have kids if you can’t afford to buy them presents.

  • This woman is so rude to ask for anything special. Who does she think she is. I usually do Secret Santa every year and our limit is $20 – $25. I noticed that some people were regifting with some even giving something they got as a free gift. No-one says anything because we don’t know what that person is going through in their life. If you expect something better then buy it yourself and don’t put your name down for the Secret Santa. Merry Christmas everyone.

  • I couldn’t read it as it’s too blurry but if it’s over the price. I think a person should just be greatfull for anything

  • That’s just… Grossly rude. I can’t believe there are people like this.

  • I can’t read any of the exchange, it’s blurry as hell.
Aside from that why would you have the bad manners to google the price of your gift! And who on earth asks for a 100+ gift from a coworker. Secret Santa’s are meant to be a bit of fun, not for ticking off your wish list! Get real!

  • Absurd! Why did she have to google the prices in the first place??
